It was around ten degrees and there was close to a foot of snow on the ground when we began setting this basement early one January morning. The site had been well prepared by the excavators for this type of weather. They had made sure that stone footing was well protected from freezing and the crane had a good pad to set up on. When the set crew arrived at 7:30, they cleared the snow, hay and plastic off of the stone footing and checked that all of the corners were where they should be. They  then compacted and leveled the footing to assure a quality installation. It wasn't long before they were well on their way in finishing the job. The final panel was actually set at 2:45, leaving only a few finishing touches to complete. All told, this basement took less than 8 hours to set in some pretty extreme weather conditions.
